I had a Miami classic that I used for a HI-Power for a time. I could never get used to it.

carried them that way a lot in the army. Military rig was not built for speed but was comfortable.

Re: 1911 shoulder rig?

Take a look at Bianchi's catalog. I know for sure there is one there that will carry a Ruger SR9 very comfortably. Also, Bianchi gives "life time" warranty service. I had one for many years (+ 15 yrs) for a 2 inch S & W. The elastic band got too loose to adjust. I wrote to them for a price on a replacement. They sent me a now elastic band and a thank you note for being a customer. A purchase source for Bianchi is Optics Planet but I am sure there are others.

I have an OLD black horizontal nylon version that works great under hunting clothing or BDUs. Secure, good concealment, and fast.

I wore one w/ my 1911 when I was doing spme plain cloths investigations w/ coat and tie, horizontal carry. I like it, I still use it occasionally, magazines and gun are radily available to you.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!
