Great customer service at Remington

I was gifted an 870 as a college graduation prestent a few years back. I had not used it a lot but the finish on the laminate stock started to come off. I had contacted Remington about getting this repaired.

They informed me that this gun was well out of warranty but would send me a replacement stock for free. Can beat that for customer service. Might be another reason why my sons first gun will be a Remington.

Just thought I would share this along, I alway like to give props to companies that have outstanding customer service.

I have also had VERY GOOD customer service from Remington. Had a old 11-87 that just needed some TLC, sanding down some burrs, etc. from lots of use. The sling was rusted to the peg in the stock, so I couldn't get it off(which your supposed to do when you ship it back). I put a note in there apologizing for not being able to get the sling off. Got the gun back, total charge was about $30 for the work they did. But for whatever reason, the sling was rust free, and there was a brand new stock on it. They wrote on my note and left it in the box, just said "no problem, we took care of the sling problem". I was pretty impressed.

i have also had good experiences with Remington. I called about getting some parts for some broken magazines and they sent me a couple of free ones = happy, happy, happy.

I called them last month regarding the deterioration of my R3 recoil pad on my CDL. The customer service representative asked for the serial number and mailing address and sent me a replacement which arrived two days later. I was very happy with my experience.

People usually only post when they have negative experiences. Thanks for sharing the good as well. Glad to hear Remington is treating customers well.
