New Citori

Just found one on the net in South Dakota. It is a Browning Citori Superlight feather in 16 gauge(NIB).I bought this as my new upland gun for grouse and pheasants.I haven't had a sweet 16 in 45 years and I guess i'm getting a little nostalgic in my old age.Has anyone have any exp.with these firearms and if you do how do you like them.

I found a used super light recently in 12gauge. One clay session with it so far, but I already know its my new favorite grouse gun!

Re: New Citori

Beautiful 16 Gauge O/U no doubt about it, great Grouse Gun if you are into dark side Grouse guns, now when you are ready for a 16 Gauge SxS, pick up a pre 1913 L.C. Smith
bird gun. Say a Monogram or a #5, even Browning never made one like them. I have a few myself.
If you like the 28 Gauge O/U Feather Weight, Brownings is simply incredaible, especially their 28/20 Combos guns.

Re: New Citori

You will be excessively happy ! The 16 gauge is the best balanced upland and birding gun ever produced, MHO. If you ever have the honor of using a vintage Smith or Fox 16, you will be searching the safe for the ones to sell to buy it!
Hard to explain, but its almost like they are alive. Let us know how the love story unfolds, LOL!

Re: New Citori

Apparently I do not have a superlight, but an upland special. It has an English straight stock and a schnable fore end. But whatever model citori it is it is still my new favorite shotgun! That may change if I ever inherit dads model 12 featherweight 16!

Re: New Citori

I would love to find a 16 ga. Superlight. Always had a hankering for one. I settled for a 20 ga. Superlight and have shot one religiously for the last 18 years. Great-handling upland bird gun at only 6 lbs.
