After cleaning my buddies 11-87, the O-ring for the piston is dry rotted and broke as I was talking it off the tube. I went to 3 different sporting good and shooting stores and each one told me they didnt carry any O-rings. Where can I get replacement rings at a reasonable price, Cabelas had them but for 13 bucks. And Im not looking to go to a plumbing store to get an O-ring, be it that it is probably not any different from the OEM ring.
Go to the hardware store and buy a package usually 8-10 per package for less than $5. Never had one break from the hardware store yet. Been using the hardware type since the 70's in the 1100. Work just as well or better than factory ones. cheaper too.
Well, my buddy spent 15bucks on 3 teflon O-rings. After I told him the measurements of the replacement o-rings and where he can pick them up at, he still said that he wanted to by the expensive teflon o-rings.
