11-87 O-Ring replacement

After cleaning my buddies 11-87, the O-ring for the piston is dry rotted and broke as I was talking it off the tube. I went to 3 different sporting good and shooting stores and each one told me they didnt carry any O-rings. Where can I get replacement rings at a reasonable price, Cabelas had them but for 13 bucks. And Im not looking to go to a plumbing store to get an O-ring, be it that it is probably not any different from the OEM ring.
Thanks

Got mine at the hardwre store, and yes in the plumbing area. Cost less than a dolar each. Can't tell you how long they will last as mine has only been on about three years.

Re: 11-87 O-Ring replacement

You might as well pick up a few because the 1187 eats them up......

Re: 11-87 O-Ring replacement

Go to the hardware store and buy a package usually 8-10 per package for less than $5. Never had one break from the hardware store yet. Been using the hardware type since the 70's in the 1100. Work just as well or better than factory ones. cheaper too.

Re: 11-87 O-Ring replacement

Well, my buddy spent 15bucks on 3 teflon O-rings. After I told him the measurements of the replacement o-rings and where he can pick them up at, he still said that he wanted to by the expensive teflon o-rings.

Nothing wrong with that if he has the extra money, maybe they will last longer. Never tried the big money o-rings.
