Re: FrogLube.....new CLP product......opinions
Most seem to love it; I'm not in that category. Any company that uses a slogan ("It just works") rather than science to back up their claims is suspect to me, even if it was vouched for by a genuine high-speed, low-drag, catch me kiss me, Navy SEAL. I liken it to seasoning a cast iron pot; first you heat the metal (firearm), then you apply it, then wipe it dry, then when it re-heats (friction from firing, which is bad), it re-liquifies to lubricate your firearm. Call me a traditionalist, but I prefer a lubrication with a rated NLGI number and some testing behind it in a scientific environment. Google Grant Cunningham's article on "Lubricants 101" to get started on ideas for good firearms lubrication properties. I'm sure someone who swears by froglube will be along shortly to provide the counter argument. Hope this helps.
