Ive got a Poly Public Defender. I like it. I shoot Federal's 000 buckshot loads. It's my bedroom night stand gun.

Re: Taurus Judge

I have shot a Judge and a S&W Govenor. I am not crazy about the 410... I prefer a good old fashion bullet... so I would just buy a 45 long colt! I am sure for trail walking,light varmiting, and CQP self defense the 410 is a handy tool.

Re: Taurus Judge

atr,
I like the Circut Judge better, purchased the SS model for my wife, as a home defense weapon, works quite well and
the SS cylinder rotates smooth as glass. The weapon is set up for a red dot scope, which I purchased from Bushnell at the Pittsburgh NRA show, the weapon is a lot more accurate than I would have believed possible, especially for a .45 Long Colt/410 Shotgun.

Re: Taurus Judge

Junk. Junk. Junk. My judge came apart and jammed on the second shot. Sent it back to Taurus via fed express. I dumped it asap

He never said it would be easy;
He only said it would be worth it!

Re: Taurus Judge

Recently bought a Public Defender and I really like it. I am shooting the PDX1 410's out of it, quite impressive for self defense!

Re: Taurus Judge

Several of my friends have judges in one form or another and from what I've seen they are ok for what they are meant for, close range defense. When they try shooting target at say 25 yds. they are all pretty disappointed which I wouldn't think would surprise them since they are all gun crazy and know short barrels usually aren't that accurate?

Re: Taurus Judge

If you want something larger you cant try the MIL Thunder 5 in 45/70. A local FFL has one if you are interested. He showed it to me when I asked if he had a 45/70. I should have specified thatI was looking for a rifle and politely passed when he opended the case. It also had a 410/45LC cylinder.

Re: Taurus Judge

I have an original with the 6 barrel. I like it. It is on my hip checking my cameras now until august. It is my snake gun. I've only had to use it 2x's for bad situations. It does what it was intended too do for snakes. I also keep it as a PD gun in my townhouse. Nice Gun
