Smith model 66-6 2.5 inch barrel value

Thinking of selling my smith.. I bought it brand new about 10 years or so ago for a carry type firearm. It is a great revolver but I have stopped carrying it. It's stainless with the black pach grips..new condition with maybe a box or two put through it. I know they quit making this model and I'm curious what the value would be today so I don't hose myself. I would appreciate any help. Thanks FYI.. I can email a picture of the smith if it will help determine the value..

Great gun, I have one and love mine. Hit all the majow sites on line that offer firearms up for auction to get a general idea of what they're going for. Good luck, you won't have a problem getting a fair price for it.

The M-66 2.5" is a great carry gun. The k frame wasn't intended for sustained firing of .357mags, so many prefer the M-686. Personally, I often wish I didn't sell mine.
You can take it to Gander Mountain, let them give you an appraisal.
They'll offer you half of what they will attempt to sell it for. It will give you a good range between low-ball and highest retail price.
Shoot me a price I may be interested.

Re: Smith model 66-6 2.5 inch barrel value

550 is very bottom price that I can see, some auctions i see the 66 ss pulling 650+. I would be out of my mind to sell it for that low. I do not need the money and not sure I'm going to sell but if the right buyer came along I may.. Thanks to all who are contributing..
