Information Please

I recently aquired an automatic chrome or nickel plated handgun. It is missing the clip but otherwise in excellent condition. My problem is that I do not what I have or caliber
Marking are fabique nationale d'armes de guerre hersral beligique....browning patent depose.... 75850a which is the serial number The only other markings are what look like German Reichstag eagles
I would appreciatte any information like caliber, where I might purchace a clip and any value. Thanks in advance

Re: Information Please

Sounds like an FN Browning Model 1922.

Re: Information Please

A picture will tell the tale. From your description it does sound like a 1922. They are an ugly, long nosed pistol, but very well made. They were made in two calibers, 7.65mm ( or .32ACP), and 9mm x 17 Kurz (Short) 380ACP.
If it is a 1922, your serial number indicates A Dutch manufactured gun from 1940. The Germans made untold numbers of these under occupation. In fact, the pistol was produced until 1982. The reich marks on your indicate captured or produced under occupation.

Re: Information Please

Does it look something like this:

20-25 years ago, an old boy I knew had several WWII bring back pistols for sale, including one of these in 32ACP.

Could've had it for $50, but passed.
