S&W 581 makeover

Had this collecting dust in the back of the safe:



So I sent it off for a make over:





Action job & convertion to DAO
bob hammer
smooth trigger
chamfer both the leading edge of the cylinder and the charge holes
XS tritium dot front sight
channel out rear sight groove to match
re-blue

oh, and those are Ahrends Tactical Square Butt Finger Groove grips.

Sorry, just realised you ended with a question.........shoots fantastic with my chosen carry load, Winchester 145 grain silvertips. I picked that as a proven comprimise between heavy ( my usual preferrence) and those light 125 grainers that everyone else seems to like for carry.

Just ordered a Texas Heritage" IWB from Tucker Gun Leather to complete the package. I suppose I should look at getting a few more trousers/jeans that it will fit into after last years weight gain!!!!!

Very nice. I have those same grips on my 4 inch Model 29, have another pair coming for my Model 58.
