What is this Pistol?

I have this pistol that my father left me a long time ago. I can't seem to find any info online about it, so figured I would try here before I stop at a gun shop.
Here's what it reads on the rail on top the barrel: Harrington and Richardson Arms Company, Worcester Mass. USA. Pat October 4, '87. May 14 and Aug. 6, '89 April 2 '95, April 7, 1896.
There is no serial number( no its not filed off) and there isnt even a caliber listed on the pistol.
If anyone can identify this, I'd appreciate any info.

Re: What is this Pistol?

Well, from my limited knowledge of H&R's, that's a "top break" and it's probably in 32-Caliber. Their not exactly collector items.

But, here's a post from another forum that will give you a pile of info on your revolver: 32 H&R Top Break

Re: What is this Pistol?

Looks like an auto eject, possibly first model due to no serial number.

Re: What is this Pistol?

my dad had one just like it, top break 32 pull back on the tabs on each side of the rear sight it breaks open and ejects the shells from the cylinder too. I only ever shot it once, he always said "you cant trust those breakopens" lol

Your just jealous because I've been chatting online with babes all day!!

Re: What is this Pistol?

I've got a 32 Smith break open just like that. Don't even think about shooting it. I found a box for mine, nice to shoot, but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if you were standing in it.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
