Smith & Wesson Sigma 40 cal.

For the guys that own one whats your take on it, fit, feel, reliability and accuracy. Been thinking about getting one and found a used one for 250.00 that seems to be the used price everywhere.

Re: Smith & Wesson Sigma 40 cal.

I have had a one for about 12 years. It is one of the most accurate pistols I have ever owned. It is also the most unreliable. The gun does not like to feed ammo correctly. I also know antoerh person, who had the same problem with his.

i do not have a sigma, just the M&P, but a friend does have a sigma and has had issues with it too. save more money buy and M&P, there is a reason why they only want $250 for it. I love my M&P.

I have a Sigma .380 for my carry gun. It is very reliable, cycles everything.

Re: Smith & Wesson Sigma 40 cal.

I have sold a BUNCH of Sigmas. Without doubt the most traded gun on their (S%W's) inventory. Absolute garbage from the trigger (which they even supposedly improved), poor fit and finish, to the horrible relaiblity. Save your pennies and get the M&P or a Springfield XDM, both worlds better pistols.

I have a sigma 9mm and actually like it.. The trigger pull is dreadful but for me it isnt an issue. Points well and hasnt jammed yet. I know the early models were garbage when it came to reliability but I'm happy with mine..

A friend of mine had a Sigma .380. It wast the worst pistol I have ever fired. I wouldn't pay $25 for one.

Re: Smith & Wesson Sigma 40 cal.

Sigma 40 was my first pistol, shot great but it was clunky and way sold off 6 months after it was bought.

You can have it when you rip it from my cold, dead hands.........
