Re: Lets see your hunting handgun!

I think I've posted this one before, but here it is again.

My scoped Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 magnum. I just plain love shooting this gun. I've been shooting it a lot lately and it never fails to impress me with it's accuracy at 100 yards. Hope to put some venison in the freezer this year with it and maybe even get a shot at a black bear this year!!!

I picked this up earlier in the year, for those times I may be carrying my rifle. It's a Ruger Super Blackhawk also chambered in .44 magnum.

.45 Colt Bisley grip, it now has faux ivory grips. I had the holster rig custom made, cross draw.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Re: Lets see your hunting handgun!

Hard to beat the SBH for a hunting handgun. Simply all you need for whatever. I did a lot of long distance jack rabbit shooting with it in the mojave desert. I think this was the 1st big game I took with a handgun.

Now I need to use a scope with the aging eyes. SRH 454 Casull, quite a few years between the 2 photos.

Guess I can add the 4" Taurus Titanium 41 mag in the mix too as a hunting handgun.

Nice bear.....and with a handgun to boot!!! I passed up chance at taking my first bear with a handgun last year. I was on stand when I caught a bear moving to my left. Turned out to be a nice sow, but she had two cubs with her and I could not bring myself to take her. Hopefully I get another crack at a bear this year!
