Handgun Training

Does anyone know of any handgun training courses within say 30 to 40 miles of Hazleton in Northeast, Pa.

Pocono Pistol Club in Stroudsburg.they have classes at their indoor range. They are owned by Dunklebergerd Sports Outfitter. I believe you can access their info through either web site.

We all make choices, some good, some bad, can you live up to yours?

Re: Handgun Training

There is one in Drums/Hazelton and another down in the Hunlock Creek area. I sent in the paper work to the NRA to add civilian instructor certifications to my NRA LEO intructor certifications, but its going to be a bit before I am up and running.

The one on Drums/Hazelton, PA is called "Call To Arms". The one in Hunlock Creek is called "Dynamic Force Institute". I'm sure if you Google those names you will find their web pages.

Re: Handgun Training

In addition to the other suggestions, might also want to check with local sportsmen's clubs? Many in our area regularly offer NRA Basic Pistol classes at a nominal fee.

Our club has been doing that for many years. Some of ours are targeted at introducing women to handgun safety, so we still have woman-only classes for Basic Pistol, although some classes are "coed". The woman-only classes usually fill quickly.
