what is the value on smith & wesson 19

This is a smith & wesson model 19 in 357 magnum with a 6" barrel. It was purchased new and in very good condition. I've considered selling it and was curious as to what its worth. Thank you !

I just looked these up on gunbroker and 19s are selling for $500-$600. Yours looks more like a 4-5 inch barrel though?

that looks like a 6" with target hammer, trigger and stocks. most likely between $400 and $600, depending on condition, revision (-2, -3, etc) and whether you have the box, papers, tools, etc.

a dealer will offer you half that.

I'd pay $475 for a gun like that. Thought I'm sure you could get anywhere from the $400-$600 range depending on where you sell it, and who's looking.

Measure from the forcing cone to the muzzle and it will be pretty close to 6". M19s are up a bit from what I can see and one in mint condition could fetch what has been noted here.

They are very nice pistols. My departed huntin' bud bought one new back in the 70s and I had fired it quite often over the years.

I opted for the M686 though, since it was designed to ingest fiercer loads and I'm too lazy/inept, to keep blued pistols in perfect condition.

Gentlemen,
I own one in great shape and was offered $500.00 for it, just recently.
