found a benelli super sport for a pretty good price and really like how it feels when i shoulder it,, Looks like the gun was made specially for clay shooting which i dont do much,, would one of these be any good for an all around hunting gun, upland, duck gun? and how do you think it will handle steel shoot for ducks and geese? any opinions and imput would be great or even pros and cons on gun .. Thanks alot

Re: Benelli Super Sport? HELP

I have one and I bought it for all the reasons you mentioned with an eye on getting shed of all, or at least most of, the other shotguns I have. Unfortuantely since I bought the gun my involvement in trap, hunting small game and such has fallen off. One comment though: if you are thinking ducks and geese the fact that the gun will handle steel shot is secondary to it having a relatively short barrel. However, if you duck/goose shooting is not at the longer ranges I think this gun would be just fine for it as well. To my mind it's a great gun - easy to dismantle and clean light recoil and you can build up the comb with a simple change of a pad. No tools required.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

Re: Benelli Super Sport? HELP

I have a super sport and love it, if you take a look at the Benelli Cordoba, you'll see that it's pretty much the same gun as the Super Sport except it's all synthetic and not as flashy. I'm seriously considering a Cordoba in 20 gauge as my next purchase. The one I have is chambered for 3 in mag and I often use it as a back up gun for field and fowl. Enjoy it,where ever you decide to use it.
