Anyone use HSM 454 Bear Load???

As the title states, looking for info on this round...on deer/hogs/bear??? Heavier bullet at modest velocity. I'd be firing it out of a SRH w/ open sights. Thanks.

I'd think it would be great for hogs and bear, where penetration is paramount. With the hard cast bullet, it would most likely zip right through, and not cause much damage on a deer . Although, I have no first hand experience with them.

I think I'm an alright guy, I think I'm alright

Yep, that's why I'm asking. It's a reasonably priced load, and likely lower recoil than the 1800fps loads, but I'm wondering how it would do on deer. The bullet is the same as Buffalo Bore uses. The max penetration may be too much for deer.

Not the same round, but I use 405 grain hardcast out of my 45/70 and yes, they make a clean .45 hole right thru, but the key is to break the shoulders or put it thru the lungs so they bleed out pretty quickly and the bonus is very little loss of meat if any
