Re: types of hevi-shot ??

Remington used to get all its Hevi Shot from Environ Metal, the parent company to Hevi Shot. Then then decided to market their own under the Wingmaster HD label. Rather than using the old "blob-shaped" shot that E.M. used, Remington used almost perfectly round shot which is a good thing imo. The shot should also still be the 12 gm/cc shot in the HD stuff, where E.M. has gone to 11 gm/cc in their turkey loads and Hevi Goose and 10 gm/cc in Hevi Duck. They (Remington) did screw up big in one area though in that they do not buffer their HD loadings and patterns can suffer if you're looking for pattern DENSITY as well as coverage. If it's the older stuff (what color are the shells in the box), you have the GOOD STUFF. How much did you find it for and in what count boxes btw?

Boxes both look same ,just where the one says high velocity magnum turkey loads ,,they say nitro magnum waterfowl loads
both are 1 3/4 ounce ,,both are 1300 fps
27.50 box of 10 for 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge
