Encore Prohunter Turkey Gun

Loved that gun...It's light, points well, and you can use Winchester Winchokes in it if you desire..It does kick a bit but that doesn't seem to bother me if I 'm shooting at a coyote or a fox...
Anyone else like or dislike the Prohunter Turkey shotgun?

Re: Encore Prohunter Turkey Gun

I have a regular Encore, not Prohunter. Have had the 20" barrel but the recoil is stout, had trouble with the gun shooting high in hunting situations. Picked up a 24" barrel last year, it's much nicer to shoot but got skunked this year so no "trophy pix".

I have posted this picture before of the 20" bbl.

Re: Encore Prohunter Turkey Gun

Nice picture thanks for sharing that... The neat thing about the T/C Encore and or the Prohunter turkey gun... You can remove the shotgun barrel and install a rifle barrel, slug barrel, and even the inline 50 cal barrel. Of course you will need the appropriate forearm but they are really not that expensive..

Yep, I have a 50 cal ML barrel for it and it is a deer killin machine.
