K22 on the way

finally found a nice post war pre-model 17 k22 for a decent price. shooter grade which is just what i want. i'm excited, i've wanted one for a long time. it will be riding along with me and my 77/22 in squirrel season. i've got a 586 and a 34-1 to keep it company. still looking for a nice 29 that i can afford. these old smiths are addicting.

Re: K22 on the way

I have one with aftermarket grips. Outstanding firearm! Someday I hope to find the S&W wood grips to replce what I have on it now.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

Re: K22 on the way

this one has the original diamond magna's on it. i plan on putting rubber pachmayr's on it and putting the originals away. i have the pachmayr's on my 586 and they fit my hand like a glove. not the prettiest grips in the world but this gun is going to be a functional one rather than a looker. kind of like me.

Re: K22 on the way

My uncle used a k22 to kill 100's of groundhogs.

About the only Smith and Wesson I would consider owning.
