Re: shotgun scope
Lttle story. You can take it for what it's worth.
About 4-5 years ago my buddy got a red dot for his mossy 500 for hunting turkeys. He called me asking if I wanted to go durring the later fall season in Tioga county. I said sure. I took my mossy 500. I also took a box of 2.75" 6 shot just in case. We hunted the morning not seeing much besides grouse everywhere. He eventually took my swiss army knife I always carry, and removed his red dot so he could hunt grouse during the day. He never did put that back on.
I could understand it during the spring, but if you are anything like me you propably won't like it come fall as you will really limit yourself.
I have a fiber optic bead on my shotgun. It's not in the way when you are wingshooting or hunting rabbits, but it helps in low light when you want to "aim".
I'm sorry to ramble on like that, but thought I would give you something to think about.
One last thing. I did shoot a 35# female coyote that day. I even had the original bead on the front. It was later in the day, and I put the factory full choke back in. I also was shooting 2oz winchester supremes.
