Laser Sight Question

Thinking of getting laser sights for my sig p239. There are 2 types. The first is an internal one made by Lasermax. The second is made by crimson trace, they fit over the handgrips. Does anyone have either of these and is one better than the other.

Re: Laser Sight Question

I just got a set of the crimson trace for a different gun.

Honestly its kind of weird not aiming. But as far as installation & sighting in, it was as easy as it gets. Mine replaced the existing grips.

Re: Laser Sight Question

CT's - I've used various models of CT's and liked them all. To be fair I never used the Lasermax to pricy for me.

Re: Laser Sight Question

I believe the lasermax has to either turned on or off. It doesn't activate with griping the gun, unless they changed them since I looked last. Because of that I like the CTs. You can switch the CTs off but when turned on the laser only activates when you grip the gun. The attraction of the lasermax is that it doesn't alter your gun's grip at all. The CTs for the 239 are nice.

Re: Laser Sight Question

My CT does not alter the grip. It mounts on the front end of the gun.

Re: Laser Sight Question

+1 for Crimson trace. They are more money but worth it.

You can have it when you rip it from my cold, dead hands.........
