Ruger Mark III

Do any Ruger fans out there no how to tweak the magazine release on a Mark III? When I hit the mag release button, I literally have to grab the mag, and pull it out. Is there any way to tweak the spring or something to give it enough oomph to push out the mag?

Re: Ruger Mark III

mine falls right out with gravity. if it doesnt have a clear path (like a hand blocking it) or the button is not fully depressed it will drop a little and then hang up and i have to pull it. are you just letting it fall or catching it? on mine if you catch it while its still pretty far in the gun it hangs a little.

Re: Ruger Mark III

Is that a Mark III or a Mark II or I? I think it's the magazine disconnect that prevents it from being released...

Re: Ruger Mark III

mine is a mark III hunter, it has the magazine release button, not the lever type release on the mark II. did you try more than one magazine? maybe the one you are using hangs up. how new is the gun? if i remember right mine was a little stiff to release the magazine when it was new. i have over 3000 rounds through mine and i only load 5 rounds at a time so its broke in pretty good.

i didnt have to tweek anything on mine so im no help with that.
