recomendations for self defense ammo

just got a ruger LCR .38 special +P. what do you guys recomend for self defense loads for concealed carry?

I always carry Federal Hydra-shocks. The one I have in my .380 right now are their self-defense line.

I carry Speer 135gr +p Gold Dots in the .38spl.

Speer 38 Special +P, 135 gr., Gold Dot JHP (#23921). This self defense ammo is designed specifically for short barrel (less than 3") handguns.

I've never had to use them,and hope I never do, but I use Hornady Critical Defense in My SP101.
