Got a new toy yesterday.

I just got a ruger 10/22 charger pistol and cannot deside witch kind of scope to put on this gun. I really want to try a red dot scope but i have on experence with a dot scope. I am on a little bit of a budget and a red dot fits my price but on the other hand ive never been one to buy cheap optics. What i was trying to find out is what is some of the better pistol scopes out there for under 200 dollars. Cabelas gander mtn and a few other stores only carry a few scopes is there any thing else out there that would fit my budget? Thanks

I really like the Buschnell Trophy 2-6x32 I used to have. I think they run around $175. There are cheaper scopes out there for handguns, but they are typically garbage. I trashed a cheapo BSA scope in 5 shots once, but that was with a 44 mag.

Re: Got a new toy yesterday.

The .22 is in more need of a precision scope if you want to ring out the accuracy it is capable of. Most red dot are larger than the standard crosshairs on a regular scope. As far as which scope for that price range...if I have any left I have the older Bushnell Trophy's that are stated above for $159.95 + tax shipped to your door. Those would be the older non-Trophy XLT's that Bushnell has discontinued to make. I also have the new Trophy XLT's in Matte and Silver for $169.95 + tax shipped to your door. Finally I might have some of the leftover and discontinued Bushnell Elite 3200's in 2-6x32mm for $209.95 + tax shipped to your door. The only one I know I have off-hand are the Trophy XLT'S, as the others are not being made anymore. These are special prices for the members of the forum here as I do try to help out my fellow members. The prices on my website are different. Let me know if you are interested or if I can be of any assistance to you. Good luck and post up a picture of your new toy!

I agree - I once owned 3 of these scopes when I had T/C Contender fever. I always liked these
