Model 12 value

I have a Model 12 12 guage Trap model that I call in good condition. According to my only gun value book, it was made in 1958 and is worth around $550,but my book is 17 years old.Can I assume it's worth quite a bit more or is this not the case? Anyone know anything about the value of this particular shotgun? Thanks

Alrighty then!

Re: Model 12 value

Depending on the condition and if no alterations have been made to the gun, it could be worth as much as twice that now or even more.

Re: Model 12 value

The value of the modeel 12's has actually gone down from what I've seen. My uncle just bougt one in perfect conditon for $350 in 12ga. The sub gagues are worth more if you have a 28 or 20.

Re: Model 12 value

Run of the mill M12's may go for less in outlying areas, but for a "trap" version with the better grade stock, checkering, factory vent-rib, etc., I'll wager a guess that you are talking considerably more money today over 1958's value.

Re: Model 12 value

Here is a thread about an earlier version of your trap model and the amount of money one can get one for and how much it actually may be worth to others:

(just one example)
