Remington 3" 20 ga sabots

I been having a hard time finding them. I went into a place to look at a 17hmr and ended up not buying the rifle but walked out with 5 boxes of accutips. Never understood why these are so hard to find?

I have gone through the same thing. I made multiple calls to several distributors and manufacturers and was told that some shells such as saboted shotgun shells that account for only a minor percentage of total shells are only produced every couple of yrs.If they run out early and are not scheduled for production for say 18 months down the road they are then scarce or unavailable until that time.In my case my Savage 220 shoots Federal Barnes Sabots in 2 in groups at 100 yds most of the time. Nothing else is close. Barnes will no longer sell their bullets to Federal(according the Federal Customer Service) so they went away. I got lucky and found a shop with 19 boxes, I bought them all, life time supply. If you find what your gun likes you need to keep at least a 3 year supply on of low volume ammo.

Clayton's in Horsham PA had plenty of the 2 3/4 and 3 inch. I picked up 5 boxes which should last me 2 or 3 years

How much are they asking? I know Clayton's is usually high for everything.

BTW As of 3/22/18 Dicks in Willow Grove has at least ten boxes of 2.75"Accutips. They are asking $14.95.

They shoot fine in my 220. Since I've owned the gun I have found one box of 3" Accutips. They did not shoot as tight as the 2.75" but were not bad.

Dicks had a couple of boxes of those but they were even more expensive. I wonder how they shoot compared to the Federals with the Barnes bullet. The 3" Federals shot great out on my gun.

you sure they had them? cause bigger places like Midway, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop haven't gotten them in yet. Some said they shoot as good as Accutips, Barnes are just deadly on game. I use Barnes out of my muzzleloader, if I didn't have so many boxes of Accutips 20ga in 3" I would try these new Barnes

No I was wrong. After I though about it I remembered they had the Copper Solids. They were about $16 a box.
