TAS/Meprolight handgun sights

I'm planning to upgrade from the standard factory sights on my Glock 19 and 17, and I came across these "single dot" sights by TAS and by Meprolight that eliminate the use of the front sight, the difference between the two being that Meprolight incorporates tritium while the original TAS sights are strictly fiber optic. TAS also has what they call the J Sight that uses the same sight allignment principle, but does utilize the front sight in a "two dot" configuration.

All 3 sight systems are interesting to me and seem like they could greatly improve target acquisition speed and the single dot systems seem to allow focus on the target rather than the front sight, but with the single dot systems I'm worried they might be shortening the sight radius too much. I haven't been able to find many reviews on them, does anyone here have any experience with these?
