Holster Suggestion

I am looking for suggestions for a hip holster for my S&W MP 40. I have a tactical thigh holster for it, but found that it was cumbersome at times. I have done some looking, but it seems everything I find for hip is concealed carry, inside the pant line holsters. Anybody have a good suggestion? Thanks in advance for any help!

G- Code

Bravo Concealment

These are excellent options, if your not a SWAT Officer or Navy Seal, I would ditch that thigh holster. If you don't make sure you practice with it ALOT so you don't have a AD. I had to train a lot, for my job, to get used to safe drawing and not allowing my finger to wander into the trigger guard. Plus if your at the range, guys that are on the job are just gonna make fun of "Tactical Bob". Try one of the above sites, I have a G Code that I wear on a duty rig when I train for my yearly's. You will really like them.

are you looking for IWB or OWB holster. I have two crossbreed holster that are IWB, one for my Glock 23 and one for my Springfield XDS. really like the way it fits to the body and very comfortable to wear.

This is my best bet

Usually, when one says they want a "hip holster" they are talking strong side, outside the waistband that can be concealed with bulky outer clothing, but is also suitable for open carry. For that, I can highly recommend Sarariland's 6378 ALS. I got this one for my G19 at Midway USA:

Looks like they offer it for your gun too:

It got the highest rating in Gun-test magazine OWB comparison of holsters and it has a top rated retention system.

I've tried both Alessi & another brand that I can't recall now(I'll update the post later) and both of those are now gathering dust somewhere. It comes with both a paddle and a belt loop you can put on and of course is suede lined. The paddle is the most secure I've ever had and IMO beats the paddle on Fobus's. It's not going anywhere and is a PITA to take off, but that's ok!!

Oh, and don't forget - get a good belt if you want to have a good OWB system. It really is essential. I've got a couple from Tucker gunleather and after a year I'm still trying to break them in.
