compact .45acp

I'm looking at the glock 30 .45acp.to conceal. The full size(21) feels good but hard to hide. I have a colt 1991 a1 and like it but it is to big to conceal as well. Has anyone shot or have a glock 21 or 30?

Re: compact .45acp

Take a look at the 21 sf and the 30 sf. The grip is thinner and the capacity is the same. THe good thing about glocks is that the mags interchange so you can have the 21 mag in the 30. The 30 does conceal well in an iwb holster like the FIST kydek.

The 30 is a great weapon, and I agree that you should check out the sf models. The glocks are decently accurate and easy to conceal. Good luck.

Re: compact .45acp

Are the SF model 30's that much different than the standard 30? I haven't found an sf to hold. I think I'm going to trade my Colt.

It is slimmer, lighter, has a shorter trigger reach and has a rail for a light.

Re: compact .45acp

I have a 30 and very large hands. Depending on what you are using it for, the SF might be the way to go or even the 36(single stack). I have held a 21 sf and there is a pretty noticeable difference between the regular 21. Actually might trade mine up for a 30 sf. My 30 has a rail also though. Older models did not.

Re: compact .45acp

Have a 21 and a 36. The 36 hides well! 21 is nice shooting gun, but is little large for CC.

My next purchase soon will be 21SF

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, fast is deadly

Re: compact .45acp

I carry the Glock 36, had the 23 before this one, what I like about the 36 is its slim and has the smooth frame under side(no accesory rail)
