Mossberg 935 not ejecting

I am looking for some help with this Mossberg Waterfowl 12 gauge. I cleaned the gun checking the ports and it will not eject the three and one half inch shells. It is a nice looking shotgun but it won't cycle. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Kinzua Man

Do what my 2 friends did... GET RID OF IT... same problem, and these two guns were sent back, and still did it...

There are a few guys on Refuge Forms and Duck Hunter's Chat that have them. Maybe you could look for an answer over there.

Yes.. I had the same problem. The only way I was able to address the issue was to sell the pos gun.

At one time I owned a 935. What I found is that most brands of shells I had tried had ejection issues. In reality I believe the root cause was that once fired, the hull was now too long to reliably clear the ejection port every time.

I now shoot a Benelli or a good ole model 500 for waterfowl work.

I have a 535 that does not like 3 1/2 in shells. It will eject them but I have to really work the action.

Mine is in the shop now. 935 flyway model. It would shoot the first shell but wouldn't cycle the 2nd round. This happened twice with geese overhead. You know that motto buy once or cry once.

I am used to the old Remington 1100 and this shotgun has alot more parts. My buddy took it upon himself to show my son how to take it apart and clean it. I watched a couple of you tubes on field stripping this gun. I discovered that it was missing a spring and my buddy did not assemble the gun correctly. I ordered the spring and assembled the gun and took it out for a test. It cycles and throws empties fifteen feet. Problem fixed.

Had the same problem with my Rem 870 a couple years ago , I called Remington and they wanted some of the ammo I was shooting. I sent them 6 fired shells and what was left in the bow they came from. Received a letter stating that when the shell was fired it became to long to clear the ejection port , also a check to cover the cost of 2 boxes of shells. These were 3"Magnums.

Im amazed a gun manufacturer can stamp on their barrel it shots 3 1/2 shells but wont eject same shell. So much for a follow up shot if needed.
