Browning A Bolt 12 gauge slug gun

I'm picking one up tomorrow for a great price. New in box never shot! Anyone have one or have any input on these? Also suggestions on scopes and sabots that work well with them!!

I have had one since 1996. Groups 1" +- 100 yards with sabots. Will look at my records for the best ammo groups.

The 1996 is the gun to have they better then tar Hunts. The new ones suck can't hit the side of a barn most get sold or returned back.

Sorry just my two cents. I will put my 400 dollar savage and shoot a inch at 100 yards.

Two guys I hunt with bought the new models for hunts in tbe Midwest. Not sure what ammo they're using, but both are excellent shooters. No complaints from them, that's for certain

I think I'm an alright guy, I think I'm alright

Action smooth as butter, 60 degree throw, crisp trigger, everything just so sleek and smooth!! Sure glad I got it for half price or else I would have bought the savage......can't beat them 220s price and quality wise!

1" to cloverleafs at 100, with whatever ammo the gun likes best. I didn't ask specifics on the ammo.

So all I have to do is buy a savage 220, and I can sling slugs out to 300 yards and drop deer like rain?

I think I'm an alright guy, I think I'm alright

Re: Browning A Bolt 12 gauge slug gun

Never heard a bad thing about them......It was between the Browning and Savage and I bought the Savage. I am sure it will be a tack driver....Try the Remington Accutips. They shoot unbelievable in my Savage.
Good luck
