Holster Required?

I have a LCP 380 and was wondering when a firearm is carried cold and concealed in a pocket is a holster required?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Holster Required?

Much safer with a holster for various reasons.

Yep I have a holster I was just wondering if law requires it. I looked it up and said it wasn't required but like you said it's safer.

Wouldn't carry without it...unless you don't really care much for any body parts from your waist down.

Re: Holster Required?

Its not required. I have a clipdraw on mine and it works great. I've used it for at least 5yrs with no issues.

Yeah, I'll second this. Not only for safety reasons but for functional reasons too. The gun will get much more gunked up with pocket lint than you would want and it might even effect functioning. You never know when an errant seed, coin or piece of junk might get into it. Plus, it helps with printing as viewed by the public. With a quality holster, correctly fitted, it will look more like a wallet.

I would never go without a pocket holster, and my constant companion is my S&W 442 in a Mika pocket holster. Quality leather scabbard and you can get them in square or rounded bottom. I have both and they fit everything I wear for any situation.
