smith and Weston mp shield

Any input on this gun. Probably looking at the 9mm for concealed carry due to extra round and ammo a bit cheaper than the 40. I've heard about some issues with the clip and people disliking the thumb safety. Was also looking at the lcr9 and aw body weight revolvers but probably going with shield for now and maybe pick a small revolver for warm weather due to weight and size

My brother has one that I've shot. It's a nice piece. I personally have the big brother to it...the M&P 9c. A little thicker and a tad heavier, but with 5 more shots. Can't go wrong with either one.

If you do a search you'll find my thread from a couple weeks ago on this same subject.

I narrowed it down to the 9MM M&P Shield or the Springfield XDS 45.
I went with the Springfield.

Nothing more than Cabela's had it on sale and I saved a few bucks over my normal places I buy guns.

I carry the Shield in 40 S&W. I own several Sigs, H-Ks, and others. IMO, the Shield is one of the highest value handguns on the market. Mine has been flawless and as far as accuracy goes, it hangs with handguns that cost nearly 3x. Buy one and don't look back.

Re: smith and Weston mp shield

I have the shield 40, love it. I want more knockdown power, plus I like the slim profile. I can carry concealed in a tee shirt with the right holster (Remora holsters). the only thing I'd change was to get tru glow sights put on asap.

I had a Shield 40. Just didn't fit my hand and I love my G26 more. Your getting a great gun in either 9 or 40 so no worries, you will not be disappointed. Draws great, wears easy, and is a solid shooter. This gun will save your life regardless.
