changing the forearm on a mossberd 500 youth model

I have a mossberg 500 youth model. I want to put a bigger stock on it as well as a new forearm. I spoke to some one at the company and they said I need to put new "push rods" on it to move the forearm up like on an adult size gun. Does anyone have expierence with that?

You'll need to replace those two flat bars on either side of the fore stock. You can probably buy a whole new standard size for end, slide bars and all. If you buy a complete forend, you can swap them out in about 5 minutes. Pretty easy task.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.
