opinions on single stack .40 cal semi auto handgun

thinking about a sub compact or compact single stack .40 cal semi auto for concealed carry

I have a glock 27 but still trying to get used to the "thick" grip, I chose the glock because it can also use the 15 round mags for "emergencies", bug out bags, etc..

looking for other hands on, well used and tried, opinions on whats out there in the 400 to 500 dollar range.

Thanks

only single stack .40 I can think of off hand would be the M&P shield. My brother had the 9mm version and it's a nice little piece. In all honesty though, it's a little thinner, slightly less tall and long compared to my M & P compact with 5 less rounds.

The springfield xds fits well in the hand. I didn't like the 2 x 4 feeling the glock gave me. The 45 is an awesome shooter.

Im a Glock guy, but I do have a 40 Shield because they shoot so well. Fits in hands like a glove. You will not be disappointed.
