starline brss

has anyone ever bought or used starline brass. I keep seeing it advertised on some sites. I'm looking to get some 44 mag brass for reloading. don't want to pay through the nose for a hundred or so. I don't shoot that often, so they will last quite a while.

Re: starline brss

I can get 200 pieces of Starline brass locally for only a few bucks more than once fired brass ordered online, and quite a bit cheaper than other new brass. I'm pretty sure it's not physically inferior to other manufacturers brass, but rather an indication of how much we get taken to the cleaners by some of the other "name brand" producers.

Never used it, but I've heard it's supposed to be good brass.

Re: starline brss

I've been using Starline brass for years. Their handgun brass works fine; not so for their rifle brass in several of my old Winchesters as it is often too thick and does not accommodate cast bullets well. That problem can be overcome by neck reaming as a rule which adds another step in the loading process...
