Mooseberg 500 feeding issue

My Mossy started dropping a live round right between my feet every time I cycle the action for a second shot. It loads the 2nd one fine but #3 falls out the bottom. Cost me a third shot at a nice buck last Saturday. Anybody ever have this problem? I guess you can't expect much for $200...maybe 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

my guess is it need a good cleaning, I have two of them and I have never heard of this.

It is the shallowest water that makes the most noise.

Maybe the carrier is stickng in the up position. If you missed with two, the third wouldn't have helped .

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I didn't totally miss with two. I missed the deer but hit two trees, one dead center which left a really nice approximately one inch hole. Maybe there wouldn't have been any trees where my third shot was heading.

I was thinking the same thing. It normally just means one more smoking hull laying at your feet. At least it does with me.
