Re: Red dot scope for mossberg 835

I had an older 835 I purchased in the early 90's. I purchased a saddle mount and used a cheap tru-glo red dot I purchased off of ebay for around $30. Shooting 3" shells I never had to adjust the scope after sighting it in after years of shooting. I first tried the 2X magnification then tried the non magnified red dot from a friend. with no magnificaiton I found it best, both eyes open is great!

We all make choices, some good, some bad, can you live up to yours?

Re: Red dot scope for mossberg 835

I have two Aimpoint 9000SC red dot scopes, one on my 835 and another on my SBE 2. The battery life is unbelievable and they withstand the heaviest recoil.

My second choice would be a Burris FF III. I put one on my daughters Mossberg 510 Mini and really like that as well.

For what it's worth I'm not a big fan of the TruGlo scopes. You get what you pay for when it comes to optics.

I have a Bushnell TRS25 and a Burris Fastfire III. Both have been great. I prefer the Burris but you're going to pay for it.
