My handgun deer

Got this deer with a 40-45 yd shot from my Ruger GP-100, open sights. The Sierra 140 JHP did the trick. I was hoping to pick out a bigger one, but another group of deer spooked the ones I was watching, so I just took the 1st one to give me a clear shot.

Re: My handgun deer

Congrats - hand my Ruger out too but had no deer to shoot
but it's still on my list of things to do

Life's too short to hunt with an ugly dog!
If it's locked up and put away - Your NOT safe!

Re: My handgun deer

Congrats man. Did that years ago with a scoped .44mag. Adds a little more fun to gun hunting.

Re: My handgun deer

Nice, I love hunting with a handgun. I had mine out on the first day but didn't pull the trigger.

Congrats. I got my 1st handgun deer this year. It is certainly a challenge.
