Tc contender, good deal?

Hi, last week i had the oppurtunity to buy a tc contender pistol, mfg date is june of 1995.

This gun is in brand new, unfired condition, and is absolutely perfect from end to end. It is chambered in 7-30 waters and has the super 14" bull barrel with open sites. I gave 375.00 for it.

Ive owned two of these over the years, but both were in very used condition when i got them but still good reliable shooters. I sold them both years ago. Ive kept my eye open for another if i ever came across one, with the condition of this one i couldnt pass it up. How did i do on price? I believe it was reasonable? I have since found a wealth of ammo for it, to my surprise. Federal to my knowledge is the only company that still chambers for it, once i have a decent amount of brass i will handload. Also prbly going to install a scope in the future, would like to find a nice tc scope for it, anyone got one they are willing to sell or trade for?

You did good the barrel is worth $250, so then you only paid $125 for the frame which is a steal.7-30 is a great round for handloaders lots of good things you can do with it and you can also fire form 30-30 cases for it.

If you reload don't buy factory ammo expensive.
As was stated use 30-30 brass or even 375 Winchester brass..

Re: Tc contender, good deal?

Yes, definitely a good deal.

I love my T/C in 7-30 Waters. Started shooting it last year and it's a great round. I was lucky to find a guy selling 200pcs of brand new Federal factory cases last year. I even took a deer with this gun last year.

Sub moa shooter all day at 100 yards.
