Fox Shotgun

Couldn't resist myself last week. Was at Ironman Firearms and Antiques in Catawissa,Pa. and saw this beauty.A1938 Savage Fox Utica in almost 100% condition of blueing and casehardening.A 16 gauge Fox Sterlingworth Deluxe,26" barrels, modified and full with Jostam pad which I will change because of the condition. This gun was def. a safe queen and it patterned great with regular shells and spreader loads which I will use for grouse and woodcock. Not bad for an almost 80 year old gun. What is great is it fits me perfectly, not like the older Philly guns with 3" drop.Already killed a few chukars over my wirehaired.Beautiful dog and shotgun. What more can you ask for.
