Handgun info

mother-in-law gave me this american bulldog 32cal revolver I think it is iver & johnson anyone know any information on this

built in the late 1800s,looks to be in good shape.how is the barrel and cylinder?probably a 32 s&w

His post said "mother-in-law gave this to me", which is illegal.

He did not say, "my wife was given this by her mother".....

Need to make sure of the facts, or you can find yourself in a jam.

His mother-in-law can certainly give it to him!! They just have to make the transfer through an FFL!! The consideration, or price is ZERO! It's a gift!

But, the transfer through an FFL still must be made.

yes understand that no serial numbers on this gun this revolver I think was made some where 1890s unless it is under grips

And if he has a LTCF his mother-in-law can "loan" him the firearm.

Before she "gives" him the firearm, as in here it's yours, free and clear, it must be transfered. She cannot "give" without the transfer.

Just making sure everyone involved understands what needs to be done.

If the gun was made prior to 1898 no transfer work is necessary even under PA law.

If you have to track your game, then you aren't using a big enuff gun.
