Re: hunting revolver

I like the contenders. I have a 30.30 I reload for and it's a pretty accurate round, plus you can buy additional barrels.

I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.

45-70 is brutal on your hands.

Re: hunting revolver

I have a Magnum Research Lone Eagle in 444. Recoil is like taking an aluminum baseball bat and hitting a brick wall. After about 5 shots, you're done.

LOL.I never shot anything bigger than a .44 and I don't find them uncomfortable to shoot.I just picked up a .480 but still waiting on the dies and brass.

Re: hunting revolver

love my 460...so versatile and not at all hard to fire.

You want me to put my ear to the ground? Listen for hoof beats? Look for broken twigs?

I think I'd want to put a round or two downrange with one before I shelled out the $$$. Makes no sense to waste the Federal income tax return on a gun you don't enjoy shooting or can't shoot well. Find somebody on here that would be willing to let you shoot theirs---then decide. (no, I don't own anything that makes a bigger hole than a 44 mag)
