older Remington 870 Wingmaster and Steel Shot

I have been trying to figure out can an 80's Remington 870 wing-master-shoot steel shot. The gun has the accu choke tube system in it. I have checked Remington website for the specific year owners manual and have checked the actual chokes themselves but cannot find any indication that they are steel compatable. Where else or how else can I can figure this out?

It should be OK if you use any choke from modified down to cylinder.

Most manufacturers tell you not to shoot steel through improved modified and full choke.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.
