Re: Saddle type shotgun mount

I used a side mount in the 90s. Poi moved often.

Get a cantilevered barrel and be done with it.

I agree. The cantilever barrel is a much better system.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Re: Saddle type shotgun mount

Have a B-Square saddlemount holding a red-dot on a couple of turkey guns. One's a 3" gun. The other is a 3 1/2" gun. POI has never moved on either gun over the last 8-10 years.

Re: Saddle type shotgun mount

I too had one on my turkey gun (3 1/2") with a 2.5x scope. Never had any POI issue's with it - of course I wasn't trying to poke holes at 100yrds either.

Re: Saddle type shotgun mount

Never used one BUT the 20 guage slug gun I am buying is not drilled for a scope. I was wondering if I should use a Saddle mount or get it drilled for a scope???
Looking for some advice????
Thanks guys
Dave
