Re: New A-5

Wish it came as a light 20 gauge.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.

Re: New A-5

I'm tempted on one of them. Browning guys will tell you that they bear no resemblance other than the name and square receiver to the older auto 5s, and think it should have been given a different name. the square receiver on these and like the beretta 390 just work for me as far as fit, therefore I shoot better. They are light weight and an inertia gun like the benelli so recoil will likely be stout with heavy loads. Real walnut, no fake wood in that version, which I like, comes in plastic but other than a duck gun I rather wood. No reports of major complaints or malfunctions on the net that I've seen, but I like to let new models be for a couple years to see what the consensus is and get the bugs worked out.I think this is the 2nd or 3rd year for these.

Re: New A-5

I was so close pulling the trigger on one earlier this year, but went with the Remington 1100 instead, because the only place that had one the guy wouldn't work with me, and the person I bought the 1100 from worked with me!

Re: New A-5

What is different than the old ones. The old ones kick like a mule and are hard to resell which translates into it is an old style that is not well acceptable.

Re: New A-5

Apparently I need to come down to Bucks Co to find an A5. If a decent one hits the shelves around here and is in decent shape it's there for less than a week. On my bucket list is an A5 light and a sweet16.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun.
