Re: choke Q?

Cylinder choke and either the Fosters type slug, the BRI rifled slugs or the tru-ball slugs from federal. NO SABOTS unless you have a fully rifled barrel, which you can pick up in a scoped combo for around $230.00

Re: choke Q?

I have a rifled choke for my Browning A Bolt which will produce under 2" groups at 100 yards.

Re: choke Q?

For slugs I would use modified in a smooth barreled gun and would buy a Rem- choke, I don't like to mix and match......

Re: choke Q?

Would a rifled choke with sabots perform better than rifled slugs?

You'll have to shoot your particular combination of gun, choke, load and type of slug to find out if we're talking accuracy. On game probably won't matter too much within your limitations of accuracy and range since most slugs are hammers.

Re: choke Q?

You do not have to be mfg specific, just be sure to get the "rem choke" version of whatever choke you purchase. Not all thread sizes are the same for every mfg.

Also you do not want the rem. pro bore chokes for your gun, pretty sure they are for the versamax line only.
