Just getting around to posting this.
My spring gobbler season consisted of a single hunt on May 15.
My hubby and I set up on our property and waited for one to sound off.
At 5:10 he started about 100 yards away.
He gobbled to every little peep John made.
He flew down into the field that we were set up on.
He hung back a bit till he saw the mating pair decoys that we had set up and then ran in gobbling all the way.
20 yards away my Mossberg 935 put him to sleep.
My 8th spring gobbler in the last 10 years.
