Re: scent control

I just wash twice with scentless shampoo. I plan to try and keep designated hunting hair accessories for when I prefer to braid or pull back my hair. I think I could keep them in a container and spray them with scentc ontrol before I go out. My hair isn't crazy thick, but it is long. I am wanting to try that Just for Does Shampoo and Conditioner. I think what I have used was Hunter's Specialties Scent-A-Way Shampoo and body wash. It [censored]!!! Maybe works good on the scent control side, but it really dried out my hair. It is a little too late to order the Just for Does shampoo and conditioner for archery season, but I plan on getting it soon. In the meantime I am hoping to try a different brand that I can find at the store for Saturday.

Re: scent control

I've never really worried about scent control. My hair is down to my butt and all I do is pull it into a ponytail to get it out of the way. As long as you're aware of which way the wind is blowing and set up accordingly there shouldn't be an issue.

Re: scent control

Hi Ladies

I don't use anything specific. I usually Condition only because that's just how I wash my hair but like patryn, I try to play the wind as much as possible. Plus I'm not big on putting different products in my hair because I'm afraid of the straw effect it could give me. It's also why I won't do a Baking Soda rinse on my hair to pull any scent or build up off. I'd be trying to get a brush/comb through clean after the season is over.

I did, however, buy 3 bottles of Dead Down Wind in March this year with 3 free refill packets attached to each bottle for $12 a piece. I will be using that on my clothes and stuff.

Uh Oh! Janie's got her gun!

Re: scent control

Update, I bought the dead down wind shampoo/conditioner. It is great!! Didn't leave my hair dry at all. It was almost softer than my regular shampoo and conditioner. I also grabbed a bottle if their lotion. I felt like it was Christmas while getting ready to go out yesterday morning.

Re: scent control

Has anyone tried Just for Does? I have been using the Mathew's brand body wash/shampoo and it makes my hair hard to deal with. JFD is expensive and I'm worried about spending that much. Wondering if its worth it.
