fly fishing the OBX

anyone fly fish in the nags head area, Oregon inlet area? what type of flies, rod, reel ect. any help appreciated.

I have used my 8 weight in the surf for bluefish in the summer with great success. Just used floating line and a crease flies. You need the fish to be in close and the ocean to be flat though, its a losing and frustrating proposition otherwise.

You can do quite well in the sound fly fishing for redfish, trout, flounder, etc. There is a very well known guide that runs fly fishing trips out of Oregon Inlet, look him up and book yourself a trip with him.
